SAIMAL Communication was contracted to develop a strategy/ Intervention that will Increase, Improve and maintain access to comprehensive HIV Health Support and Care services among Key Vulnerable Populations across Tanzania in general.

WORK.

Leveraging on technology SAIMAL through its Call Center, Developed an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Programme that created a link between a person (i.e. Caller/KVP) and Shangazi (advisor) at the call center. This IVR Programme targeted Key and Vulnerable Population (KVP) in thirteen (13) regions of Tanzania. With the aim to increase the uptake of the HIV Service among Key Vulnerable Populations

RESULTS.

The number of KVPs that uptake HIV, STIs and TB services has increased. , Increased knowledge on HIV prevention KVPs , Enrollment of newly identified HIV positive KVPs to care and treatment facilities has increased.
